Because of the group setting and the young age of these children, gradual exposure was not included. Each treatment was provided in parallel child and parent groups. These differences were maintained during a two-year follow-up (Deblinger et al., 1999).ĭeblinger and colleagues (2001) conducted a group randomized, controlled trial for preschool children, comparing TF-CBT to supportive therapy. This was the first study to directly demonstrate the benefit of including a parental treatment component for sexually abused children. This study documented that TF-CBT provided directly to the child (in either the child-only or parent plus child condition) was superior in improving PTSD symptoms, while TF-CBT provided directly to the parent (in either the parent-only or the parent plus child condition) was superior in improving the child's depressive and behavior problems, as well as in improving positive parenting practices. (1996) randomly assigned 100 sexually abused children to standard community care or TF-CBT provided to the child only, the parent only or both. The strongest mediators of treatment response were parental support of the child and the child's sexual abuse-related attributions (Cohen and Mannarino, 2000).ĭeblinger et al. (Cohen and Mannarino, 1998b Cohen et al., in press). Among treatment completers in the young adolescent study, TF-CBT was superior to NST in improving depression and social competence at the end of treatment, and in improving PTSD and dissociation at one-year follow-up. At one-year follow-up, the strongest predictor of positive response was parental support of the child (Cohen and Mannarino, 1998a, 1996b). The strongest mediator of treatment response other than type of treatment was parental emotional distress. These differences were maintained over a one-year follow-up (Cohen and Mannarino, 1997, 1996a). The preschool study demonstrated the superiority of TF-CBT in improving PTSD symptoms (including sexualized behaviors) and externalizing and internalizing behaviors. The nondirective supportive therapy consisted of play for younger children and child- or parent-directed supportive therapy for older children. Most of the TF-CBT treatment studies have consisted of 12 treatment sessions.Ĭohen and Mannarino conducted two parallel, randomized, controlled trials for 67 sexually abused preschoolers (3 to 6 years old) and 82 children and young adolescents (7 to 14 years old), comparing TF-CBT to nondirective supportive therapy (NST) (Cohen and Mannarino, 2000, 1998a, 1998b, 1997, 1996a, 1996b Cohen et al., in press). Several joint parent-child sessions are also included to enhance family communication about sexual abuse and other issues. Parents are seen separately from their children for most of the treatment and receive interventions that parallel those provided to the child, along with parenting skills. The treatment also fits sexual abuse and other traumatic experiences into a broader context of children's lives so that their primary identity is not that of a victim.Ĭore components of TF-CBT are psychoeducation about child sexual abuse and PTSD affective modulation skills individualized stress-management skills an introduction to the cognitive triad (relationships between thoughts, feeling and behaviors) creating a trauma narrative (a gradual exposure intervention wherein children describe increasingly distressing details of their sexual abuse) cognitive processing safety skills and education about healthy sexuality and a parental treatment component. The therapy was developed to resolve posttraumatic stress disorder, and depressive and anxiety symptoms, as well as to address underlying distortions about self-blame, safety, the trustworthiness of others, and the world. Trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy was jointly developed by two groups of researchers who have recently worked together to conduct multisite, treatment-outcome studies for sexually abused and otherwise traumatized children. This treatment model represents a synthesis of trauma-sensitive interventions and well-established CBT principles (Cohen et al., 2001 Deblinger and Heflin, 1996). Most of the studies that have evaluated TF-CBT have been well designed. This article reviews the research that has examined treatments for sexually abused children and suggests future research priorities in this regard. Evidence is growing that trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) is an effective treatment for sexually abused children, including those who have experienced multiple other traumatic events.

The cost per channel can range from $10 to $50 per user per month, while the per-minute fee can range from $0.01 to a dollar or more. SIP trunking providers typically charge per channel (line) or per minute. However, the cost of SIP trunking providers can vary depending on a number of factors, including the number of lines, the features included, and the provider’s pricing model. SIP trunking can be a cost-effective solution for businesses looking to save money on their phone bills. Source How Much SIP Trunking Providers Cost This feature works with an IP-enabled PBX to replace traditional telephone lines. With the help of a packet switch network, SIP trunks break down your voice calls into digital packets and send them across the internet to the desired destination. We don’t want to bore you with nerdy technical details, so here is an overview of the mechanics behind SIP trunking: How Sip Trunking WorksĪs we mentioned before, SIP trunking is a type of VoIP solution. With this technology, you can really focus on your core business instead of the often complicated and time-consuming technicalities. Thanks to the fact that it’s reliable and flexible, many businesses actively use it to make their workflows smoother. In short, SIP trunking can be used for call management and setup. The technology can deliver outbound and inbound calling, plus other cord-cutting features via the cloud. Probably the most common use for SIP trunking is providing cloud-based phone services for users of an existing PBX or server. Write the name of the town in capital (upper case) letters. Next line can be used to name the local area or village name. If the property has a full name, this can take up one line and drop the street name onto the next line. Use a line for the property number and street name. You can add a line for an organisation name. It's best to include their surname as well as their first name. Unknown to that entity you create a photocopy of each of those letters which you put in an envelope addressed to your lawyer.Write or print the name of the person (or people) you are sending to on the first line, above the address. There are other scenarios where it makes a difference such as when using bcc and when forwarding email.Īs a slightly contrived analogue imagine that you are exchanging letters with some entity. You would then put those three pieces of paper into three separate envelopes and write just one address on each envelope. When communicating with the MX for all three receivers will still be in the To header, but there will only be two envelope receivers.Īs an analogue to the above imagine you printed out three copies of a letter with three recipients written on the paper. When communicating with the MX for all three receivers will still be in the To header, but there will only be a single envelope receiver. Your mail server will now establish two separate SMTP connections with each of the receiving servers to send the email further. Next your mail server will look up the MX records for and to continue delivery. When your mail client is sending the email to your mail server all three addresses will be repeated on both envelope and headers. Let's say you are about to send an email to: The most common scenario where you will see a difference is during delivery of an email with multiple recipients. But it is common for them to have no correspondence at all, for instance, in the case of mailing lists. Often, the envelope sender and recipient are the same as to the From: and To: addresses. Logically these are analogous to the addresses printed on the correspondence inside a piece of postal mail. The RFCs define other header fields you may be interested in, as well. In brief, From: in the message indicates the mailbox of whoever wrote the message, Sender: indicates the entity which sent a message on behalf of someone else, and To: and Cc: indicate the intended recipient mailbox. These are explained in detail in RFC 5322 section 3.6.3 and RFC 6854 section 2.1 (which obsoletes RFC 5322 section 3.6.2). The originator and destination addresses which appear in the message itself indicate semantic meanings, rather than explicit delivery instructions. Logically these are analogous to the addresses printed on the envelope of a piece of postal mail. These are explained in detail in RFC 5321 sections 4.1.1.2 and 4.1.1.3. Neither address is required to have any relation to the semantic content of the message. The envelope sender and recipient, which you never see in a message, are part of the SMTP protocol, and specify delivery instructions, that is, to which mailbox the mail server is expected to deliver the message, or where to return it in case of some failure. The addresses in an email message header serve different purposes than the envelope sender and recipient (which really aren't hidden per se, they just aren't part of the message). The sonic imprint of Beats By the Pound had also started to peak. And the album's title track was a reworking of a bonafide rap classic. And in August, Master P would drop the album that cemented the label's rise. It set the stage for a major takeover for No Limit. product Mystikal, who'd just released his sophomore album on Jive Records in 1995 and enjoyed a major regional hit with his single "Here I Go." Master P released his breakthrough album Ice Cream Man in 1996 and in early 1997, TRU's Tru 2 da Game would be another milestone-eventually becoming a platinum-seller. In 1995, No Limit inked a deal with Priority and the seeds were sown for Master P to make a major push towards more mainstream visibility. But P wasn't aiming to be an underground king-Master P had the production, packaging and platform to storm the mainstream. No Limit had been building a buzz for years delivering the kind of music that spoke to trappers from Georgia to Texas. No Limit's stock was steadily rising across the Dirty South with distinctive beats and rhymes about the drug game. The store soon became homebase for his burgeoning label of the same name, and through his own independent releases-including collaborations with his brothers (as TRU) and indie West Coast acts-Master P built a sizable following after releasing independent albums like Get Away Clean, Mama's Bad Boy and The Ghettos Tryin to Kill Me! and he soon relocated No Limit to his hometown of New Orleans and started filling his roster with local talent like Mia X, Fiend and Mr. But it was an inheritance that led his fate down an unexpected path and P took the money he was willed from an uncle and opened his own record store, No Limit Records, in Richmond in the late 1980s. Percy Miller had launched his own record store in Richmond, CA following a short stint as a college athlete at the University of Houston, which had led him to Merritt College, where he planned to major in business. But where others had remained unapologetically off the beaten path of mainstream rap New Orleans native Master P had his sights set at the charts by 1997. The South was used to being ignored by the major labels out of New York City and Los Angeles. Prince's street-level approach with Rap-A-Lot in Houston, it all spoke to the DIY ethos of the region. Luke Records in Miami and Suave House in Memphis J. The South was clearly making noise: the Geto Boys landed mainstream attention back in 1991 platinum-selling artists like Kris Kross and Arrested Development came out of Atlanta in 1992 Memphis legends Eightball & MJG dropped their classic underground debut Comin' Out Hard in 1993 and renowned ATLiens OutKast, Goodie Mob and the Dungeon Family released landmark albums from 1994 through 1996.Īnd there had always been an independent spirit throughout the South. The rap game in Louisiana was bubbling when Master P dropped 1996s Ice Cream Man, and finally broke through nationally. The easiest here is to do the following steps through SSH, however it's also possible to do this via the Synology Web Interface. We've finally gotten to the step where we are restoring Plex onto your Synology NAS. Now open the file in a text editor and look for MachineIdentifier and ProcessedMachineIdentifier entries and copy their value to temporary document. Start with converting your Plex configuration file into a readable format by executing the following command in Terminal: plutil -convert xml1 Now we need to make sure we get the Plex Media Server identifiers, so that we can have your new Synology Plex server maintain the same identity and shares. If you store it locally as per the command above, copy the file over to your NAS once the command completes. In my case, the command above took several hours to complete due to the large amount of small files. I actually ended up saving it to a mounted drive on the NAS, allowing me to access it directly from the NAS. part of the command above to store your backup elsewhere besides the folder itself. Time to pack it up! In a terminal window, package up your Plex Server data, excluding the Plug-ins folder, by running the following commands: cd ~/Library/Application\ Support/Plex\ Media\ Server/ Keep in mind, that your content should be accessible by your Synology at the end of this. If you are storing your Plex content locally on your Mac, this is the moment where you may want to transfer it to your NAS. Simply stop your Plex Media Server on your Mac. Disable Empty Trash / Library Updates on your Mac.Īs a first step, go to your existing Plex Server's configuration, under Library, once again disable Empty trash automatically after every scan and Scan my library automatically as well as Scan my library periodically. Now that your Synology is ready, it's time to get your existing Plex data off Mac. Your Synology NAS is now ready for you to import your existing Plex data. Simply go to the Package Center, look for the Plex Media Server app and press Stop. With the new server initiated, it's time to stop it. It is also key to make sure to disable empty trash and automatic library updates in the server's Library settings. With the installation of Plex Media Server completed, go through the setup wizard, but don't add any folders to any library. I then proceeded to install this by going to the Package Center app and selecting Manual Install and selecting the file I just downloaded. Install Plex Media Server on your NASĪs I have a DS918+, thus an Intel based NAS, I wanted to make sure that I can take full advantage of hardware transcoding, so I downloaded the Intel 64bit PlexPass version from the Plex website. Prepare your Synology NASįirst, we need to get Plex up and running on your Synology NAS. Luckily, I came across a great post by Mo_Gas on the Plex forums, making this process quite painless. Given this would be the first time moving Plex from Mac to Linux, instead of Mac to Mac, the migration would require a bit more work. With nearly a decade worth of watch history and friends who are using the server on the regular, it was key to not loose any of the history and libraries. With it's SSD starting to fail, the time has come to retire it and move my Plex server to my new Synology DS918+, with an upgraded 8GB of RAM. It's been over 7 years that I've been running my Plex server off my trusty old 2011 Mac Mini. Yeah, it's a little complicated, which might explain why Netflix's Ultraman only got seven votes. This 2019 anime is a cartoon adaptation of a comic book sequel to the 1996 live-action show. Despite this alluring premise (and mostly positive reviews), 3% earned just seven votes. 3%Īnother Brazilian dystopian, 3% imagines a world where the masses live in poverty but a small group is selected for paradise via a series of tests. But when this foolproof system can't explain a murder, one woman sets out to solve it. This Brazilian show is set in a 1984-inspired future where every citizen is constantly monitored by drones. The Innocents stars Guy Pearce as a doctor who works with shapeshifters, but it focuses on a pair of teenagers who away from home only to discover that one of them is a shifter, too. This British supernatural series isn't quite science fiction, but it did earn three votes. Coming in dead last with just three votes out of 1,234, Maniac is apparently an underappreciated classic. I could have sworn this trippy miniseries from Patrick Somerville ( The Leftovers) and Cary Joji Fukunaga ( True Detective Season 1) and starring Jonah Hill and Emma Stone was a huge hit. |
